When can I exercise after a hair transplant?

Light activity within a few days, but hold off on hard training, heavy lifting and anything that makes you sweat for roughly two weeks.

The two risks early on are raised blood pressure and sweat. Blood pressure spikes can increase bleeding and swelling around fresh grafts, and perspiration on healing skin raises the risk of irritation and infection.

Walking is fine almost immediately. Moderate cardio generally resumes around ten to fourteen days. Heavy resistance training, contact sport, swimming, saunas and steam rooms wait longer — typically three to four weeks, and your surgeon should give you specific dates rather than a generic rule.

Anything that risks direct impact or friction to the recipient area waits until the grafts are fully secure.
