Graft planner
Tap the areas you want treated, set the density you are aiming for, and see a grounded estimate — including whether what you have selected is realistic against a finite donor supply.
Looking down at the top of the head. Tap an area to add or remove it.
Facing forward. Eyebrows and beard. Tap an area to add or remove it.
Step 1 — choose the areas
Step 2 — set the scalp density
Around 35 grafts per cm² is the usual benchmark for a natural-looking result. Eyebrows and beard are not driven by this slider — brow density per cm² runs far higher than scalp and beard far lower, so those use published graft ranges instead.
| Area | Approx. cm² | Grafts | Hairs |

This is an educational estimate from published area and density figures, not a quote and not a treatment plan. Your actual numbers depend on donor density, hair calibre and head size, and can only be set by examination.
We will email this plan to you.

The zones
Frontal hairline
The leading edge that frames your face. Built from single-hair units so the transition reads as natural.
Temples
The two receding corners. Small in area, but they do a lot of the work in framing the face.
Frontal third
Directly behind the hairline. Usually the first priority, because it frames the face.
Mid-scalp
The bridge between front and crown. Where a narrowing band shows up at Norwood 4 to 5.
Crown / vertex
A whorl on a curved surface, so gaps show from more angles. Consumes far more grafts than people expect.
Eyebrows
Rebuilt one hair at a time, at an angle so flat the hair lies against the skin. Commonly published at roughly 250 to 400 grafts per brow.
Brow hair is transplanted from the scalp, so it keeps growing like scalp hair and needs trimming. That is normal, and it is the trade-off nobody mentions.
Beard
Cheeks, jawline, chin and moustache, filled with single-hair grafts placed at a sharp downward angle. A full beard is commonly published at roughly 1,500 to 3,000 grafts; a goatee or patch is far fewer.
Beard grafts come out of the same finite scalp donor supply as your hairline. If you may want both, the order matters, and it is worth deciding before either.
Why a big total is a warning, not a target
Published ISHRS guidance describes a typical safe lifetime donor supply of roughly four to eight thousand follicular units. That is the budget for your whole life, not per procedure, and it does not refill. Commonly cited single-session ceilings for FUE sit around 3,500 to 4,500 grafts.
So if this tool returns a number in the thousands, the useful question is not “can I get that?” — it is “what should be prioritised now, and how much is being deliberately left for the loss that has not happened yet?” That is a conversation with a physician, after your donor zone has actually been measured.
Bring your plan to an examination.
An estimate becomes a plan once someone measures your donor density under magnification.
